Lead Nurse ( Band 6)
The Radbourne Unit
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated Mental Health Nurse to work within the dynamic team on Ward 35 based at The Radbourne Unit as a Lead Nurse (Band 6).
Ward 35 is a busy 20 bedded mixed sex, acute admissions ward delivering high standards of care, to adults suffering from and experiencing an acute phase of their mental illness from Derby and Derbyshire. The team on Ward 35 are committed to delivering high quality, safe, effective and well led patient centred care and we are looking for a motivated and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our innovative and creative team.
The Post Holder will work closely with the current Senior Nurse team to contribute to the continued development of the ward and unit through Multi - Disciplinary and inter agency teamwork. As well as leading the team clinically, you will be expected to deputise for the Senior Nurse on the ward and have some operational responsibilities. You will also work some shifts holding the Unit bleep.
The successful candidate must have evidence of their continuing professional development and must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of risk assessment/management and the ability to make clinical decisions that are evidence based, patient focused and safe. The post holder must demonstrate an ability to be flexible in their approach and provide clear leadership and role modelling to the team and wider unit.
The Post Holder will receive regular supervision and have access to relevant training courses to support your personal and professional development.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
