Cubley Court is a purpose built unit with two wards, both 18 beds, one Female and one Male, situated on the Kingsway Site in Derby and serves the Derby City and Derbyshire areas. We care for Male and Female Service Users who have a diagnosis of a dementia type illness, predominantly looking after those people who are aged over 65 years.
We currently have 2 vacancies for a Recreational Support Worker. If you have a very keen interest in meeting the needs of Older People, and developing services to meet those needs then these posts may be for you.
As a member of the team, you would be expected to deliver a high standard of person centred care working within the Trust Core Care Standards promoting Service User dignity at all times, actively participate in on going developments and projects, work within a multi-disciplinary team and support the Management Team in maintaining a professional service. You will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the therapeutic engagement/activities of service users.
We can offer you on-going training and development, support with portfolio and professional development, clinical and managerial supervision, an annual appraisal and Personal Development Plan.
Please be mindful that the wards provide a 24 hour service so you would need to be able to work shift patterns including morning, afternoon and night shifts, weekends and Bank Holidays.
