Training in psychiatry is the first step for doctors who are enthusiastic to become the Consultant Psychiatrists of the future and who can demonstrate the essential competencies to enter this level of training.
Once in post as a Trust we support your training as a priority.
Although LAS appointments are not recognised as training posts, post holders will be given the same training opportunities as trainees appointed through Health Education East Midlands.
Post holders will be supported in maintaining their training portfolio and will work alongside other trainees. This post is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm plus out of hours 24/7 rota commitments on a 1:20 rota.
All candidates will need to have excellent communication skills, hold full GMC registration and a license to practice at the time of appointment.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
