SPECIALTY DOCTOR GRADE POST IN COMMUNITY PAEDIATRICS
FULL TIME/ PART TIME WILL BE CONSIDERED
The Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint a Specialty Doctor Grade Community Paediatrician. The postholder will join a friendly and supportive team of nine Consultants, six Specialty Doctor Grade/Associate Specialist doctors and two trainees in community paediatrics.
Locality based within Derbyshire County but this could be adjusted according to service needs.
The post holder will provide a generic local service as part of a team of doctors working closely with specialist nursing, paediatric therapy and other medical services in particular the Neurodevelopmental Team, being encouraged to develop an expertise in working with ADHD in children and young people and with their families. Involvement in child protection work on a rota basis during working hours is part of the role but there will be no acute on-call or out of hours work.
We continue to look at ways to evolve our service to improve joined up care and develop new interdisciplinary ways of working, and are looking for enthusiastic and motivated candidates to join us in this.
Basic training in community paediatrics, including Safeguarding, is available as required so candidates with no more than the essential requirements in the person specification are encouraged to apply. We actively encourage personal and professional development within the service.
