Cubley Male is a purpose built 18 bedded Ward situated on the Kingsway Site, Derby and serves the Derby City and Derbyshire areas. We care for male Service Users who have a diagnosis of a dementia type illness, predominantly looking after those people who are aged over 65 years.

We currently have 1 vacancy for a Registered Nurse (Mental Health). If you have a very keen interest in meeting the needs of Older People, and developing services to meet those needs then these posts may be for you.

As a member of the team, you would be expected to deliver a high standard of person centred care working within the Trust Core Care Standards promoting Service User dignity at all times, act as a Named Nurse within the framework of the Care Programme Approach, facilitate, manage and lead shifts, actively participate in on going developments and projects, work within a multi-disciplinary team and support the Management Team in maintaining a professional service.

We can offer you on going training and development, support with portfolio and professional development, clinical and managerial supervision, support with caseload management, an annual PADR and Personal Development Plan. We are happy to accept applications from newly qualified nurses as a programme of Preceptorship is in embedded within the Trust.

Please be mindful that the wards provide a 24 hour service so you would need to be able to work shift patterns including morning, afternoon and night shifts, weekends and Bank Holidays.
