0.6WTE ADULT RECOVERY TEAM (Bolsover) & 0.4WTE DBT Service based in Chesterfield.
Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Trust covers Mental Health recovery services across the lifespan, Learning Disability, Substance Misuse and Children’s services and has recently undergone an exciting period of transformation with established adult recovery teams and community mental health teams for older people coming together to create a Neighbourhood Team working more closely with Primary Care and other local agencies to enhance the recovery pathway of our patient population.
We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and innovative Clinical Psychologist to provide a high quality clinical service to adults of working age through direct clinical work for complex cases, and to offer advice and support to other professionals working within the Neighbourhoods. This will Include contributing 0.4wte to an established Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Team, co-facilitating DBT groups, offering individual clinical work for complex cases, and providing training, advice and support to other professionals working within the multidisciplinary teams. Training in DBT will be available for the successful candidate as required and group and individual supervision and group supervision will be made available as part of the DBT team.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with people with a broad range of complex mental health problems and needs, with experience of evidence-based psychological interventions with adults. You will be committed to multidisciplinary team working, have excellent relationship-building skills and be capable of managing varied work demands.
As a member of an established community recovery focussed team for people with complex mental health problems, and DBT team , this post offers an excellent opportunity to deploy and further develop post qualification specialist skills and experience. The post holder will become part of a Derbyshire – wide well respected and valued Clinical Psychology Service. There are strong links with local Clinical Psychology Training Courses. The post holder will need to be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council, Chartered with the BPS, and must be able to meet the travel requirements of the post.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
